Although I am a Delaware native, my parents were originally from Cleveland, Ohio, which is where some of my research has been focused. And you may wonder why I am volunteering for this project, but the answer is very simple. I love doing genealogical research and I wanted to be a part of this wonderful project. The names I am researching are Sheehans, Carberrys, Mangan, Dardis, Moynahan, Walsh and O'Driscoll. The Sheehans came from The Commons, Glenville, County Cork and Daniel Sheehan, my grandfather, arrived in the US in 1886 and settled in Cuyahoga County, Cleveland, Ohio. Catherine Carberry arrived to the US shortly afterward and they married in Cleveland. The Carberrys were from Killucan, Westmeath; however, they owned Carberry Carriage Works which was located outside of Dublin. You can reach Colette by email here.
