Meet The Volunteers

Susan Valenta

Susan transcribed the more than 2,000 Tatnall Tombstone and Burial Records for the New Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware that appear on this site.  As is the case for many mid-nineteenth century civil and Roman Catholic sacramental records, they had never been indexed prior to their placement on this web site.  Thanks to her significant contribution, researchers now can easily locate surnames of interest to them.

Mrs. Valenta has other talents as well.  Researchers interested in families with the surnames of Latronico, Branca, Cebisch,  Murphy, Lee, Fenlon, Vetter, and Landwehr will discover a well-conceived web site at:

Following a brief stay in Delaware the Latronico family moved in the New York/ New Jersey area where the other families resided.  John Lee, her great, great grandfather, emigrated from Ireland to the United States circa 1859.  He married Bridget Fenlon in 1860 in New Jersey.  John and was the son of Lawrence and Catherine Lee. The other families are from Germany, Italy, and Austria.
