M. Jane Leone is a retired elementary principal from Ludlow, MA with  an Irish heritage in County Galway.  Research among the forty parishes of east County Galway located baptismal records of the children of James Craughwell and Margaret Creaven, her grandparents in Bullaun/Grange and New Inn areas - east of the town of Athenry. Their marriage record appears in the adjacent parish of Kiltullagh in 1872.  Her grandmother, Mary Crowell, emigrated to Boston in 1893. 

In the summer of 2001, my family and I were able to visit New Inn in County Galway.  During that brief visit we were delighted in discovering, in person, the town where my grandmother grew up with her ten brothers and sisters.
