Mary Anne Walsh

My husband and I were both raised in Upper Darby, PA.  We have five children and eight grandchildren.  As the children left home, I started to try to learn about my grandparents who died long before I was born.  That was about fifteen years ago.  Richard is semi-retired now so we have more time to devote to family history.

I’ve been lucky to find Irish ancestors:

Bolton, Ready: Steelton, PA; Kilmallock; Limerick Co
McManus:  Middletown, Dauphin Co.; Leitrim Co.
Devine: Co. Roscommon.

My husband’s family:

Walsh, McHugh: Philadelphia; Castlebar, Co. Mayo
Coyle:  Norristown; Co. Tyrone.
McFadden: Hazelton, PA; “North of Ireland”?
McEntee:  Philadelphia;
Lynch: Philadelphia; Parish Lavey, Co. Cavan

We’ve been beneficiaries of the posting of Wilmington’s baptisms on this web site.   We found my husband’s great grandmother’s sister and her family.  Since then, the website has fascinated me.  I’m happy to be part of it now.
